ABOUT US

Hello City is Kjipuktuk, Halifax's award winning improv company best known for their show HELLO CITY where they invite Haligonians to come tell stories about their life in Halifax which is then used to inspire the scenes. These shows usually take place in their favourite black box, The Bus Stop Theatre.

Hello City is known for their work at the Halifax Fringe where they have created multiple "fringe hits". Their show The Book Club won for Best Ensemble at the Halifax Fringe in 2018 and their show Lords of Fogtown won Outstanding Comedy and (every member!) took home Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role in 2019. In the summer of 2020, they had their first three Hello City by the Sea's! Made possible through generous support from Shakespeare by the Sea. Every show was over sold out and was one of the only live shows happening across the world during that time! Summer of 2021 they continued Hello City by the Sea and had their first summer season, again thanks to Shakespeare by the Sea.
